Targeted Parent and Toddler Group Volunteer Support

This project is funded by the UK Government the ‘Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ (DLUHC) through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) as the lead authority.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority is a partnership of three local authorities: Newcastle City Council, North Tyneside Council, and Northumberland County Council and the North of Tyne Elected Mayor. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. We will be helping to support Targeted Parent and Toddler Groups and their Volunteers In the targeted funded areas in Newcastle. Helping to upskill the groups volunteers with training, DBS funding, recruiting new volunteers, purchasing of new group equipment, risk assessment requirements, good practice visits and guidance on policies and procedures.
